This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Soulja Boy is a disgrace to music. If you can call it that.
Fallout Boy
The Maine
Panic! At The Disco
Metro Station
Jonas Brothers
Hannah Montana

I could go on, but I won't

They removed the exclamation mark with Pretty. Odd.

... Ok, now let's see, who can we not truly stand today...

Did I say Kidz Bop? If not, then Kidz Bop. If so, then Kidz Bop.

Any and all Disney Pop. I can hear the IQ of every girl 15 and in free fall.

New "country" singers who claim to be country on the basis that they wear jeans. Fuck them all.

Any emo band. They're all the same. "Oh look I got a guitar and learned power chords. Time to go sing about how depressed I am because that one girl doesn't like me" Fuck you, no one cares.

and my biggest beef of all.

RAP

All of it, I don't care what you want to call it. Rap, Hip Hop etc. etc. it's all the same shit. You are NOT a musician if you don't know an instrument. PERIOD. Turning on the synthesizer and rhyming about some bitch's ass you saw at the club is the sort of simple minded garbage that has my generation in an intellectual tailspin. And don't go calling yourselves artists either. Go paint me a carbon copy of Caravaggio's Death of a Virgin and then I'll let you call yourself an artist. But until then be satisfied with your proper title: SHIT SPEWER

*GAH*

Beastie Boys are rap, they can play their own instruments, and their songs can be quite political when they want to.

I'm not talking about your taste in music bucko, I'm talking about your complete lack of knowledge about it. If you think every emotive hardcore band only plays power chords sings about being depressed then you are a fool. Also, pretty much every band ever has songs about love troubles, it's typically the most common topic for music to be written about.

Everything you said about Hip-Hop was complete tripe as well, especially that 'you are NOT a musician if you don't know an instrument' bollocks because if that's the case then I suppose you think Luciano Pavarotti wasn't a musician either... and you asuming every Hip-Hop song is made without instruments and is about bitches in da club and all that bollocks then you are again, a fool.

You don't have to like it, but disliking something and being completely wrong whilst jumping to stupid closed minded conclusions are two very different things.

Thanks for the personal attack. Way to judge who i am as a person without knowing me. I know my rant was emotional and entirely factless but not once did I say "ANYONE WHO LISTENS TO THIS KIND OF MUSIC IS STUPID". Besides it was MY opinion, like the thread indicates. Opinion and Fact are two entirely different things. If the thread were to say "songs and bands that are proven to be bad" then I would have posted something a little different. If you are a big fan of rap/emo/new country or whatever, that's fine, everyone has their own taste in music. Yet don't call me names and refuse to hear my opinion and then label ME the close minded buffoon. Check yourself, Danny.

Somebody simply stating their opinions would have gone about it a far less angry and again closed minded way than you did earlier. If that post was merely your opinions you would have said 'I don't like these genres because' not 'EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE GENRES IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS ONE SONG I HEARD ONCE AND I DIDN'T LIKE THAT SONG SO THEY MUST ALL BE LIKE THAT BLARRGGHH'

In a way Danny isn't that wrong, I wouldn't go out of my way to personally insult you but the kind of things you said were rather buffoon like. If your exuse is you did that at 4am then fine, I suppose I'll accept that.

We don't care that you don't like rap, and we know you didn't say "LULZ, RAP FANS R STOOPID". What you DID say about rap was largely wrong, though, and I find it hilarious that's the on;y think you haven't commented on since we told you about it

It's the only thing I've commented on since because

a) It's what I dislike the most

b) It's what everyone is calling me out on.

Chidori I realize there are more topics than the one I provided, but that's the stereotypical sort of thing one of the 'songs' is about, hence me posting it. And I have nothing against songs about love or anything like that and realize it's a common theme in all genres.

Also as I look through the thread I realize I'm the only one who despises rap in general, so I guess that should have been a clue to me to hold my tongue. I also notice that Danny was being a fuck head earlier on and therefore should have ignored his comment.

So I'm saying it now, formally. Sorry, ok? Geez

If anyone honestly wants to formally argue the social impact of rap with me then by all means say something. Otherwise I'll keep myself in check better.

p.s. rap still sucks <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley2.png'>

p.p.s. Quit being such a nob Danny. Go hate on people somewhere else.

Uhmm... No one new today. I mean, it's not a band I can't truly stand, it's just a band I don't like that much. Soundgarden (with the exception of Black Hole Sun).

Have I said Rihanna?
