SPOILERS NOT HAVE.

I'd just like to say that I'm finding it really intense. Very very good. Yet very very intense.

I think that's enough "very"s.

No spoilers here, but I did find the epilogue rather disappointing.

You know what I hated about the epilogue? Besides that it read like an E. Nesbit book, and was really, really, cheesy, nothing except the parings was explained. She said that it explain what happened to all of the characters? Well, what about Luna? Luna was not mentioned in the epilogue AT ALL! And except Neville, none of their jobs were mentioned.
There is a redeaming point, however. If you go through, it is never explicitly stated that Harry and Ginny were married, just that it was their children . . . we can assume so many, many things from here . . . I'm still HarryxLuna. I'm just not counting the crappy epilogue as canon!

Haha, yeah. It still annoyed me, though.

YAY! I just finished it!

Spoiler! Use at own risk!

------------------------------------------
I rly think they should have made the final battle for realistic. Since Voldy killed Harry and then he came back because he wasn't dead. And I rly think the whole Dumbledore-goes-emo-by-letting-Snape-kill-him is just WRONG! To bad the ending sucks balls for they all marry eachother and stay best of friend. blah blah blah blah!

I think she threw the epilogue in there because JK Rowling wanted to be the one to choose the ending couples, and not leave it up to us. She wanted Harry to end up with Ginny, Ron to end up with Hermione, Neville to become a teacher, and so on. Don't forget she said she knew how the series was going to end when she wrote the first book oh-so-long-ago. She wanted to end it on her terms, that's all. I personally liked the entire book, but maybe I'm just a sucker for that kind of thing. Who knows? It was a great way to end the series, IMO.

It was more depressing then compelling. I missed all the stuff from the old books.

It was the best book but i do agree that when reading it i rarely felt the warm sensation inside me like i did with the other books. Epilogue was good, I thought. Little Albus! Ah, it was the best because of learning about Dumbledore's history. Dumbledore is the greatest character the books have yielded by far. You may disagree at first but dig deep into your hearts and come to that realization. He is the best.

The book honestly ended almost exactly as I predicted, so when it came to me reading the final book was more for me about writing style and how she reached end. I believe she did a wonderful job of wrapping it up and it was the the years of waiting, the two hour line to get it, and the money I spent to get.

I wish Snape could have lived.

EVERYONE. I'm rather dissapointed with Lupin and Tonks' deaths. It was like... another one bites the dust, you know? No reason. They just went away. It was like there one second gone the next, WTF. And Dobby? WHY. That was the worst. I wanted to cry, but I just couldn't... And SNAPE! Egad, Snape's chapter was OMG THE BEST. I love little Teddy Lupin! And little Albus Severus! Oh. He is so the win. I luffles him. XD Oh, and did anyone else just adore Neville? I <3 Neville to bits. Anyways, that's pretty much all I have to say...
Oh, and did anyone else want to scream, "ROCKS FALL AND EVERYONE DIES!" I know I did.

Personally, I really enjoyed "Harry Potter, and the Deathly Hollows". I finished the first four books when I was in fifth grade, and I really enjoyed Harry Potter and fell in love with Rowling's characters. But, the only thing I disliked was the death of a certain character. I am not going to mention who, but all I can say is, he was my favorite character in the whole series! I practially CRIED when I read that part that he died! Anyways, that is just my opinion, and everyone is titled to their own.

I was surprised how dissapointed I was that there would be no more books.
I mean its like Seinfeld, it was over while it was still good.

Well i read the book and i think it was good except for.... :

The white space in which dumbledore and harry talk and the epilogue... im sorry but the epilogue left so many unanswered questions!!!! it really made me angry with J.K. Rowling...but all in all she made my fav book in the series!! especially with stuff like the battle at hogwarts and breaking into gringotts... which in my opinion shouldve been a much longer chapter since they went in ... they got out although i did love the way they got out :D

Juuuust finished the book this afternoon.
GGRRRRRRR!!! I'm SO SO SO angry at Lupin and Tonks deaths, they shouldn't have died, and their deaths weren't even explained at all. Poor Teddy........
I thought the book was really good except for loop-holes and stuff but I guess that's what happens when you end a series where you've built a whole entirely functional world. It would have been too much to sum up in one book. I was disappointed in the epilogue and how she didn't write about other characters. It wasn't even really an epilogue, more like an extra chapter. It would have been nice if she told what happened to everyone in a more editorial way.
Anyways, it was a really good read and worth about two days with minimal sleep. : D

It depends on what version you have. The US book has about 780 pages, UK about 600.

OK... But how come the US book has 780 pages? Is it a longer version?

onidragon

UK version has bigger pages I think.

But anyway,I think the epilouge was awesome! I'm not into shipping(Unless it's Phoenix Wright, in which The uber smexy fanfic"Follow the Fool" has brainwashed me into thinking Franzizka and Adrian Andrews are Lesbian lovers...) so I think it was good. I acctuly had Dumbledore's last line from the white space as my sig on a friends forum a few weeks back. I thought it was cool.

I think that the version of the book that we got in Austalia was the UK version because it has 607 pages. I like the Deathly Hollows a lot of stuff that I thought would happen did happen I was upset with quiet a few of the character that died though. How could she kill off one of the twins. The twins where my favorite in the whole book

I thought the epilogue was pretty good. J.K Rowling did say though that if the epilogue was cloudy in details, that's exactly what she wanted.

If you didn't see it coming you obviously don't read into books to well.

I mean what straight man writes letters to another straight man about his dreams? and then signs to with a (fabulous) artistic "A."

Though there are going to be consequences: people are already starting to say that Harry and Dumbledore's relationship is more than just friendly.

I'm pissed off at the fact that she made Dumbledore gay
But why? It doesn't change anything in the books. I mean, Grindelwald's dead, and Dumbledore is too in Deathly Hallows.
