Although a favourite movies topic has already been started, i read the posts and thought about having a topic for anime movies. Hopefully we can hear people's favourites (if you have any) or films you just like for any reason. Since i started this topic, i'll go first.
My favourite anime films are;
Macross Plus (Awesome soundtrack and i just think it's great, so great in fact that i have it on my name badge as my favourite film at the cinema i work at.)
Detonator Orgun (Cool mecha film)
Orguss 02 (Another cool mecha film and a great story)
and Ninja Scroll (Great action and story)

Mononoke Hime, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, Hotaru no Haka, Kaze no Tani no Nausicäa, Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers... Hayao Miyazaki is God and Satoshi Kon is the prophet.
Last, but not least, other notorious titles include Akira, Metropolis and the Cowboy Bebop movie. Can you feel the love? <3

I would have to say that my fav anime movie of all time is probably the Cowboy Bebop movie!
(I completely forget the actual title of the movie :P)
Princess Mononoke. xD Well, i guess any Miyazaki movie would be a personal favorite for me.

Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Movie--just stunning animation, really. Great music too.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust--first anime movie I ever watched. Still one of my favorites! I use it to convert people.
Cowboy Bebop the movie--not as good as the series, but still up there.
And the Miyazaki movies Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle.

Anything by studio ghibli, espicially Spritied away. I'm looking forward to GoroMiyazaki's first movie, let's see how he compares to his legendary father.
The first anime movie I saw (ignoring 4kids butcherings of Pokemon) was Metropolis. I'd seen the DVD in a shop, and so when I saw it on TV I thought it worth checking out. I was not disapointed, it's a great movie, with a great score, beuatiful animation and a brutal storyline. Hmmm speaking of which I haven't seen that in years...
Memories is a commonly forgotten film. It was a tri-production with creators of Akira, Blood: The Last Vampire and Wolf's Rain, in the form of three short films. The first one, Magnetic Rose, involves a space mission that delves into the depths of madness when they discover the floating house of a deceased opera singer. The second, my favoruite, Stink Bomb, is about a man who accidently becomes the worlds greatest weapon of mass destruction, immiting a smell that kills anyone who is in a certain range with him. The last, my least favourite, is Cannon. It's basically the everyday life of a city in a long running artillery war with an unseen enemy.
Others include:
Ghost in the Shell
Cowboy Bebop
Advent Children

Advent Children is okay. The fights are too difficult to follow, but the general flow of the movie is very nice.
My favorite's Cowboy Bebop Tengoku no Tobira though.

Advent Children did the shaky camera thing too much. If you go very slowly throughit you see a lot of it is glitchy and the shaky camera tried to hide it, but fails. but I still love the movie, I mean I saw 69 times before it hit america and 89 times as of now, and so many just to watchthe fight scenes.

I'm not a fan of Advent Children... it was all action, little storyline.
It was basically for the fans of FF7 to goggle and drool at as they practically joffed themselves to it.
For fans: It was good.
For people who care only about action: It was good.
For people like me who thought FF7 was good but not as good as people said it was (I've played RPGs most of my life, don't think I was mistaken), as well as a fan of a good storylines and movie plots: That movie... blech.
My opinion.

So glad to know I'm not the only one who downplays FF7 from its constant high horse! I like it for the boys, and that's about it. Advent Children was alright; didn't do it for me except to drool all over Zack (who only showed up TWO TIMES, those meanies).
Let's see, what can I say was favorite that has NOT already been mentioned? Methinks...not very much. Except...wait...wait...YES!
-> Metropolis, the only Tezuka animation I've ever liked
-> Miyazaki movies, again. (Except Grave of the Fireflies. It was too sad for me; like reading Hiroshima all over again)
-> End of Evangelion. I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet! Best brain-liquidating movie EVER. And I'm a total dork and watched it with the commentary, too; it had its moments. ("Ibuki realized her sexuality just now!" // "You mean when Rei 'fingers' her?")

Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa, Final Fantasy Vll: Advent Children, X, Cowboy Bebop: Knockin on Heavin's Door, Pokemon's First Movie, Pokemon the Movie 2000, Pokemon: Destiny Dioxis, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Yugioh the Movie, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Inuyasha: Fire on Mystic Island, Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society, Digimon the Movie, Ninja Scroll, and Trigun the Movie (when they finish it and make it available that is..)

Pokémon 2000: The Power of One(I saw this in theaters and got Ancient Mew out of it~ I'm putting it ahead of the Manaphy movie because of the Pikachu short)
FMA: Conqueror of Shamballa(an epic end to the animé series)
DBZ: Fusion Reborn and Wrath of the Dragon(I'm putting them both on here, yes--the way Trunks was focused on in the final movie is quite interesting, and things go full circle in regards to how Future Trunks got that sword...)
Digimon Tamers: Runaway Locomon(o/'' Promise that we'll stay for the sunset~ o/'')
Let's see...
Advent Children slowly became my favorite after a friend explained certain aspects of it to me because FF is really not my forte whatsoever
Let's see...the first 3 Inuyasha movies; the 4th had elements, but I liked the storylines for the other 3 better, the 3rd being my overall favorite
Yes, the Studio Ghibli works - Porco Russo, the cat movie - I forget the name of it right now, Spirited Away, Nausicaa
Tess I'm curious about that though because the OVA of Rayearth - you could only watch that after you watch the TV series - otherwise it won't make a darn bit of sense - that's what I was told anyways, which that is pretty true, so would it be proper to call it a movie though or just an extention of the series? 0.o'''
Um...all the Slayers movies ^-^ I'm a fan of that series in general; it's so funny!!! XD
the Card Captor Sakura movies - both of them! ^_^v
and the Capsule Monsters movie *shrug*

OK got to go with Ninja Scroll which was one of the first animes I ever watched and rented. Miyazaki movies are great like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Howl's Moving Castle. The Inu Yasha and Full Metal Alchemist movies were fun as well.

ive only watched a few anime movies (unfortunatly the pokemon one was prob the 1st when i was a kid) i cant say exactly which is my fav but i can mention a few that i really liked;
the obvious one is spirited away, which i thought was brilliant, prob is the reason why i started experimenting with other anime recently.
i have recently watched another called "The girl who leaped through time" which i though was a sweet film and i recommend it to anyone.
i havent had a chance to watch Princess monoke all the way though but ive watched the 1st 40min of it and liked it so far, i may get round to finishing one day.

^ Love the picture!
Okay, seeing that I haven't posted hear and I was certain I did, I'll tell you all of my favorite anime movies.
To be expected~
Studio Ghibli movies like Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, are probably on everyone's favorite anime movies lists because they are pretty much the pinnacle of how great an anime movie can be. Hayao Miyazaki means serious business, and did some great movies.
Detective Conan movies 3, 6, and 13.
These movies are also pretty predictable if you know me, because I pretty much made it pretty apparent that I love the series. If I was a blind fan that saw no wrong in anything DC related, I would say they were all good. These 3 are just the ones with the more interesting story lines if you ask me.
