YEPYEP, I memorized that dance to it's fullest! It took me a few days though to get it down to the fingertips....but now I wanna dance with a group.

I love this show so much, pissed that it's coming out in chronilogical order though, of course the SE editions get it in airing order but I still don't like that.

Safty, you can see them in YouTube (with subtitles), and they are pretty good quality, too. But I warn you: open the Wikipedia article on "episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya" when watching them (they are out of order, I recomend watching them in order)

Veoh (http://www.veoh.com) has the best quality with subs. And how can you judge Haruhi as youre fave character from the first episode? She gets about 6 seconds of screenstime =S Unless, of course, you didn't watch episode 00.

And I reccomend watching it out of chronological order, in the studio order because it's more interesting to watch and the series is structures in such a way that it makes more sense out of chronological order.

I started watching it after i saw the AMV someone created using Haruhi clips and Candy Pop by Heartsdale. The vid was good enough to get me to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi. Check it out if you haven't; It appears in Youtube under the name Skittles (no idea why, but it's the posters idea).

I don't like it how the Bandai decided to release the series in the DVD order, rather than the broadcast order. It feels weird to not only not hear Aya Hirano, but to have Episode 13 (BO) as episode 6. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I definitely say to watch it in AIRED order, not chronological. (meaning watch the episodes the way they are on the special edition DVDs, and not the regular DVDS) It's MUCH more enjoyable that way.

I'm going to have to agree with that %100. I tried watching it in chronological order once, and I hated it. The weird order gave it alot of its originality, anyway, and it works so well.

See...I love the music from Haruhi as well! D: I WANNA BUY THE DVD'S DAMMIT...The only reason I want to watch the dub is because I struggle with subtitles as they hurt my eyes too much, give me maigraines then I end up falling aslepe through said episode to get rid of the maigraine.

There's a girl over at The VAA and Youtube called Christina..she does some awesome Haruhi english fandubs I particulary like her singing ones especcially "Lost my Music"

I saw the official dub posted on youtube a little while back. Pretty good actually. If I see it again I'll post it. I know Riryoku knows where it is.

The dub's not to bad. Crispen Freeman does an awesome Kyon, and Johnny Yong Bosch is a god at what he does. Michelle Ruff is good enough, but not as good as Minori Chihara was in the original Japanese.

Although, I was pretty shocked at Kari Wahlgren's terrible job of voicing Tsuruya.

Agreed, you'd expect her to do a little better. Every character is either good at imitating the original Japanese or fits the person in English if you've never heard the Japanese. *coughharuhicough* Tsuruya's the only exception, or at least until September 4th when we see Mysterique Sign. We'll see if we have a good Emiri.

Kari did a bad job of Tsuruya~n? ;_; Perhaps she broke her awesome while voicing Ashe in FF12? I swear, she was amazing as Haruko, but Ashe was so different....

The only episode I saw was the one where they do a spot-on parody of Phoenix Wright, but damn it was funny. I need to watch more of it.

The ending song and dance is strangely addictive to watch.

Definitely one of the best design out there, and really humorous to go along with it. It's one of the few comedies not from UK or USA that I really really enjoy, and the plot is really surprising. Not deep, but good nonetheless.

It's official. Haruhi Suzumiya ROCKS. I saw the first few episodes at Otakon, like I said i would, and I was hooked immediately. I not only got the first 2 DVD's, but a big poster and a figure with the newest issue of the manga straight from Japan. I always seem attracted to main characters with eccentric personalities, and Haruhi's right on near the top, if not at it. Plus I just want to give Mikuru a big freakin' hug.

I have now offically seen the english dub (I bought the DVDs because I'm a good boy), and I'm completely fine with it; Tsuruya wasn't half bad, really (yet she could've been much better) I don't care for Haruhi's english voice... But other then that, I really have no complaints.

Can someone please tell me where the full Hare Hare Yukai dance came from? They don't show it in full in any of the episodes or any of the credits. Was it like an extra on a DVD or something?

I dunno why I haven't commented on this yet. I think it may have been the Lucky Star thread.:3 I was very reluctant to see this anime because of all the hype it got(still haven't developed a permanent interest in Bleach, though FMA got me hook line and sinker), but it is very intruiging for a high school love story. The dub castings were pretty good(I especially approved of the choices for Mikuru and Ryoko), but the real test is yet to come: the dubbing of episode 12. <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley7.png'>

Kyoto Animation hit the nail on the head with this series. It does so much right, I hope it goes down as a classic. (One of the few mainstream anime that deserves the praise it gets IMO.)

I love this show! It is my favourite anime and sadly, I have developed a small infatuation with Haruhi. It's witty, I love the perspective, some of the sexual harassment scenes are just hilarious. Also a very unusual selection of characters and a kick ass sound track.

I've always considered watching this show but I can never figure out why they have two different orders... Seriously, what order should you watch it in, and more importantly who's idea was it to re-order everything for broadcast?

Well is doesn't really matter that much which order you watch it in but first time I would watch it in the order it was aired. Watching it chronologically the first time would be weird because you would be watching the 'dramatic ending' per say 4 episodes into it. I've watched it in both orders and it was certainly more enjoyable in the original order but it's up to yee.

Oh, and I have no idea whos idea it was. Probably Spiderman or Rodimus Prime.
