Any of you read it? I've read the first four books, and I fell in love with the series. I'm hoping to get my hands on the fifth book soon, and immerse myself into the awesome. xD
Oh, and for you dedicated fans, who think Rand's beginning to grow colder as the series progresses? I can certainly understand why, but I just have difficulty enjoying a protagonist who's an asshole. =[

WoT is a lot of fun, but you need to ready for a little bit of a disapointment. Books 7, 8, and 9 simply aren't that entertaining of books. Jordan started opening up way too many other plot lines, and it all comes out as a tangled mess.
Push through them though, and it gets a little better with 10, and a whole lot better with 11.
PS. Mat is one of the best characters in fiction of all time.

I'm a huge WoT nerd. I've been reading the series since I was 10 (I'm 22 now), and it is still my favorite thing to read ever. If you think Rand is cold in book 4.....well...you ain't seen nothing yet. I personally have grown to really like Rand over the years. Sure, he's cold, and pretty much a dictator at times. But, when you look at all the goodie-two-shoes fantasy protagonists that are constantly running around, perhaps you enjoy the difference that is Rand. I sometimes wonder how much of that is due to the Taint, but that's something for another time.

The books are amazing, but sometimes you have to force yourself to read them. I think there are a few too many characters, and the books get a little too tedious.
Hmm, I've read the one of the books sometime back. I thought it was very good, unfortunately I had no more to read.

I've read the first 3 and am on the 4th book. I'm pissed I didn't start these sooner they are incredible. Let's just pray Jordan can pump the last book out before his unfortunate medical condition bests him.
