Super Smash Bros Melee

Enough with all the SSBB, if Falco or Mewtwo are not in it, I'm not getting it! Does anyone still play SSBM...surely there must be...this game is awesome! I main (play as most often) Falco, with Marth and Mewtwo as Secondary. Who do you play as?

lol yea Melee's been out since the Gamecube's been out (i think xD) and thats a LONG time (i got the game when it came out so i've played it alot too)

Samus is probably the most broken character in the game with all the crazy things people have discovered with her.

Dash dancing can help a lot with the running thing. Can also try crouching to stop momentum, then turn around.

I love peach for her awesome aerial ability, which of course is only second to Jigglypuff, who's aerial game is crazy. Floating and turnips = awesome. ^_^

lol I was always bad w/ Captain Falcon xD he was fast but that punch is so slow xD

I get away with starting the punch in midair sometimes!

Takes about 1 second for it come out after pressing it, and in Melee, that's rather slow. Yes, starting it in the air can help.

The Knee is a much more useful attack though.

I'm still addicted to this game. I play as both Links, Marth and occasionally Pikachu...I'd say I'm pretty good. :3 I beat everyone at an anime convention, and I was only 14. hehe. but now I'm just bragging >< sorry.

Yeah, I would agree with you. All these advanced techs, tier lists, and other things sure do change the way the game is played. I don't really to get practice all that often because my friends IRL are all incompitant and are really terrible players. I mean do you honestly think your Roy is going to beat my Marth? Especially when I'm twice as good as you?

The only characters I don't use often are Ganondork/Captain Falcon, Pichu/Pikachu, Mr. Game & Watch, Bowser and Ice Climbers.

Ive been playing Melee a lot just to get ready for brawl when it comes out. With my main being Peach, and ice climbers, Marth and jigglypuff being my secondaries..........

Float canceling, turnips, great recovery, and good aerial game. That is why I chose her to be my main. ^_^ And of course that down smash of hers is a beast.

Dont forget about her being able to pull up a stitchface, a bomb, sword, and of course Mr. Saturn(shield-breaker FTW).......that and the whole amazing priority she has going for her (well next to jiggly).....

and of course being able to chain grab the space animals so easily........ahhh good times......

Its always fun to hear the groan from the person you're playing with when her down smash catches them for 75 percent too........

but anyway......all of this it kind of makes me wonder if the developers made her so good on purpose or not.......

The only bad thing about the space animals is how Fox is good against Peach, but Peach is also good against Fox. It's a weird matchup.

I love when players accidentally crouch cancel when you down smash. Instant 50% or so damage in about a second. ^_^

yea that match-up has always been a bit weird since the way they counter various aspects of each other........it usually comes down to skill.....well most of the time......

and about the crouch canceling........ahhhh just watching the other player squirm after that is so much fun.....

I'm a Cpt. Falcon, Dr. mario, Roy and Shiek player. But Cpt Falcon is my #1 because he's the only one I was able to win the local game tourney with. I was close with Roy twice and with Shiek once, and never play as Dr. mario in a tourney. I love the Falcon so much.

Yeah I know, now we all take advantage of the game's semi-primitiveness. Makes me wonder if wavedashing will happen in Brawl.
