The official title is going to be released at ComiCon this month! Too bad I'm not going.

The strongest rumors I've seen are Voltron or Godzilla. But the Godzilla sequel was replaced by the cartoon series. I personally disagree with both since the "creature" was destroying the city in the trailer, so it's something bad.

PARASITE? Sounds like a remake of The Host, which I don't believe Cloverfield is...

It's not Voltron, that's already being made by someone else.
It's not Godzilla, the rights are still being held by Toho.
Lots of people think it's Cthulu, which I know next to nothing about.

"The Parasite" is the on-set title, much like "The Intimidation Game" was Batman Begins' on-set title.

Creepily, if you take "The Parasite" and "Cloverfield" and mix them together, they spell "I, H. P. Lovecraft, released it"...

I would assume it's a possible terrorist attack in the futre...that or maybe either an alien attack (great...another independance day...) or a natural disaster movie. I kind of hope it's a zombie movie...that would kick ass. I don't know how zombies would knock the head off the statue of liberty...but they'd find a way.

1) a monster

2) an ALIEN monster :P

It's definately not Gamera. They made a new Gamera series too recently.

I think it's Cthulhu. Although I personally hope it's the live action Evangelion.
